Online Hypnotherapy is becoming very popular 


Finding new ways to  deal with your emotions, and to beat issues such as stress and anxiety is key to your well-being and happiness. 

By being able to understand how your own mind and body work in sync with each other, you will be able to live the life that you have always wanted. Hypnotherapy and / or Coaching can be a big part of that. However,  it’s not always possible to travel to your nearest hypnotherapist, so by offering hypnotherapy sessions via Facebook Video Messaging, Skype or Zoom, I want to make finding that personal support as simple as sending an email.


What is hypnosis and how does Online Hypnotherapy work?


Hypnosis is a 100% natural state of the mind and when you understand how it can work for you, it opens up an opportunity for you to deal with those issues in a completely different way.

Hypnosis is actually very deep relaxation. It is that dreamy state you enter just before you drift off to sleep and again when you are just waking up, therefore you cannot get stuck in hypnosis. After you have had a hypnotherapy session, you will either wake up when the hypnotherapist tells you to. or you will drift off to sleep and wake up when you are ready to.


When you are in a state of hypnosis, your conscious mind (the part that makes all the decisions and analyses everything) is suppressed and your subconscious mind is alert.  Your subconscious mind doesn't analyse things, so it accepts what the therapist says, and through repetition it can change your whole thoughts processes, influencing the way you think, the way you feel and the way you live your life.


By doing an online session, it means that  the hypnotist doesn't need to be in the same room with you, as long as you can hear them, you’ll be able to experience exactly the same benefits as you would with a face-to-face session and will work in exactly the same way.


In fact, a number of my online clients have reported they found the initial first steps of the process less stressful when undertaken online. This is because they were able to remain in familiar surroundings throughout their treatment and didn’t have the stress and uncertainty of driving to an appointment. Choose the right space


One of the benefits of online hypnotherapy is that you can undertake your sessions in the comfort and security of your own home. To ensure you get the most out of every session, there are a few tried and tested things which you might like to put into place before taking part in an online hypnotherapy session.


  • Having a quiet, ambient designated space for your sessions is the most important thing as it creates peaceful surroundings and promotes relaxation.
  • You will want to be warm and comfortable,
  • Turn off the TV
  • Switch off your mobile phone and leave it in a different room.
  • Dress in something light and comfortable.
  • Ensure any pets are cared for, or placed in a separate room to avoid disturbing you.
  • If you must have someone in the room with you, please ask them to stay quiet while the therapy is taking place. However, it is better that they stay in a separate room, so not to disturb you.
